Disclaimer: I am completely unfamiliar with Linux Mint. However, since you
mentioned LM 21.x is based on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, have you attempted to
install Gramps 5.2.4? Not saying your specific issue is fixed, but it will
bring you slightly more up-to-date. A package is available here:

Have you filed a bug (or enhancement) report? Bug 12822 mentions a similar
issue with the Family Line Graph.
