Mapserver dll and DSpatial

Hi list,

we are currently looking into the possibility of turning UMN Mapserver =
(http://mapserver.gis.umn.edu) into a C dll accessible with a Delphi =
interface.

Could DSpatial be used/extended as a front-end for this? I can think this =
is problematic because most of the stuff DSpatial does is then managed by =
Mapserver internals (visualize, symbology, reading data, query, project =
data etc). I would love to hear some ideas though how this could be =
integrated.

I did see PROJ.4 integration is on the DSpatial wish list, maybe this =
could open up some possiblities.
