Thanks a lot for the answer! I finally did it, using Surfer and GRASS to make a 1201*1201 3 arc-second raster file, and using Corel's Quattro Pro (tha only spreadsheet I found that manages more than 256 columns: does anybody know if others can do so, maybe opensource or freeware?) to manage the 1201*1201 matrix, transpose it, mirror it and approximate it, and then a visual basic routine to make the infamous 1442402 lines txt file!
