Hi Tom
Thanks for your replay, I used ogr2ogr from FWTools, and found a -f "KML"
option to get KML file.
Also, there is a free Rss2Kml script here
http://www.kovacevic.nl/hacks/kml/rss2kml.php
It depends on XSLT to transform from GeoRss to KML , perhaps I can do the
reverse.
The only obstacle for me now is the projection and co-ordinate systems, I
know nothing in this stuff.
Using qGIS, I examined the projection of my shape files, they are :
+proj=utm +zone=36 +ellps=WGS84 +datum=WGS84 +units=m +no_defs
I don't understand this, but GeoRSS should be {The coordinate reference is
assumed to be WGS84} quoted from
http://xtech06.usefulinc.com/schedule/paper/56
Any advice is highly apprecited
