Walter, Note that the problem with mapguide isn't *building* on 64 bit systems, it is running on 64bit systems. If this is your first foray into mapguide I don't think you will want to be running it in such broken configuration. This supplied 3rd party libraries are the versions that mapguide is known to work with, and in at least some cases they have been locally modified with required fixes. So build against other versions with caution. You should visit the http://mapguide.osgeo.org web site, and read up about how to contribute as a developer.
