Dear FreeGIS List, 52°North introduces a new Augmented Reality Weather Cam (AR Weather Cam). This software framework enables the user to combine a real-world image with sensor data to create a local short term weather forecast. Please find more information at: http://52north.org/index.php?option=com_projects&task=showProject&id=28&Itemid=127 52°North's new routing service enables users to calculate a suitable truck route along forest roads. The user submits vehicle properties, such as width and weight and the service calculates the route along an existing road network which entails GeoDat conform information, such as width of road, maximum load capacity, grade, etc. The framework can also be adapted to calculate routes for other use cases, such as wheelchair accessible routing within a city.
