Fwd: FOSS GIS in OMAN??

Hi,
 
I'll be working on some fisheries stock assessments in Oman, (mostly at sea)
for a fair bit of 2007/2008.

I plan on using & demonstrating FOSS GIS related tools, in paticular,
PostGIS, mapserver, QGIS & GMT, perhaps GRASS as well if it seems relevant.
 
(I've just installed everything on a Laptop running OpenSuse 10.2, with
Compiz running nicely, which seems to impress people nicely for
presentations/demos :-)
 
Does anyone know of local FOSS users, especially GIS ones, I could contact
while I'm there?
