I am conteplating the same thing, for unison (file sync, not geo, vastly smaller, no $ resrouces). The point has been far more to have Free hosting than because of CI flakiness, but I completley see your point. Now, I'm very bothered by the AI push, especially encouraging people to submit LLM output PRs. I think your assessment of codeberg CI is correct, and I also have the imrpession there is paid CI out there. It seems woodpecker is the dominant interface and you can bring your own hardware in a data center, or pay somebody.
