ps2raster: "May be input file does not fulfill PS specifications"

Hello, I encountered this error message while using ps2raster to convert .ps in to .png and jpg but not sure what it really means-- ""May be input file does not fulfill PS specifications"" I can do the conversion from .ps to .eps though. Any help is much appreciated. My code looks like this; psbasemap -JX$size -R$box -B$tick1:."$title2":SWne -Y$yoffset -X$xoffset1 -K -V -P > $fname psxy w250mHz.txt -JX -R -W1.0p,$line_color1,- -K -V -P -O >> $fname psxy w100mHz.txt -JX -R -W1.0p,$line_color2,- -K -V -P -O >> $fname echo "8500 60000 11 0 1 LM $cross_coef%" | pstext -R -JX -V -P -O >> $fname ps2raster $fname -A -Tej Thanks!
