pscoast: No databases available - aborts

I just installed gmt 5.1.0 and I can't get pscoast working. Here is my 
setting

### I've downloaded the GSHHG data from 
ftp://ftp.soest.hawaii.edu/gshhg/gshhg-gmt-nc4-2.2.4.tar.gz

### not overwritten with som specific setting

24712GMT_SHAREDIR
manuel@localStat:~/dev/grass/GMT$ echo $GMT_SHAREDIR

ps : btw, is there a way to uninstall gmt5.0.1 using cmake?
