I did this:

gmt grdmath -R-90/90/-90/90 -I15m $c_lon $c_lat SDIST 10 POW NORM 1  
EXCH SUB = limb.nc

where $c_lon $c_lat are the center of projectio -Jg

The difficult is to find a nice decay rate, I've ended using dist^10
