Hi Paul,
Yes I just found that :) However, it fails because it cannot find or understand "editpath" in the gmtswitch.bat file.
I edited the reference to v4 and 5 correctly in the file so that is all fine.
C:\Users\Lester>gmtswitch
Usage:
To set GMT5 64 bits installed at C:\programs\GMT5\bin run - this is the correct path
gmtswitch g5_64
To set GMT5 32 bits installed at C:\programs\GMTdev\GMT5\WIN32\bin run - N/A
gmtswitch g5_32
To set GMT5 64 bits installed at C:\programs\GMT\bin run - this is the correct path
gmtswitch g4_64
To set GMT5 32 bits installed at C:\programs\GMT\GMT_win32\bin run - N/A
gmtswitch g4_32
C:\Users\Lester>gmtswitch g5_64

set path=C:\programs\gmt5\bin;%PATH% - seems to work, but the batch file would be handy to get working.
Cheers

The standard way of dealing with this is via gmtswitch. See its man page on gmt.soest.hawaii.edu.-p

I have both GMT v4.5.9 and v5.1.0 installed. The paths are configured correctly in the environment variables, but invoking say grdinfo will always return the 4.5.9 version. Is there a way to configure things to access version 5, or does version 4 have to be removed?
