Gridding of "semi-irregular" 3D data.

Hi,

I have a dataset that has 3 dimensions V=f(x,y,z), two are irregular, and the last one is regular (3D seismic data).

I want to interpolate the irregular data to a regular grid, but keep the regular one as it is.

That is I need a 2D interpolation to be done for each one of the third dimension slices.

Is there a fast way to do this with GMT? Other than slicing the data and interpolating each slice and putting all back again.

As I understand, once the interpolation weights are found for one slice, the other slices can use the same weights.
