Hi- A bit thin on information. Lots of people install GMT on ubuntu without problems. 1. Are you sure your path is set to run the version installed? Does which psxy return what you expect? 2. Are you saying the message happens if you just type psxy or are you running psxy with arguments? if so, what are they? 3. Same message for any other program being typed? GMT_version is declared in gmt.h which is included by all programs and defined in gmt_version.c which is used to build the link library. So not clear to me how it could possibly be undefined on your system. -p On Feb 26, 2014, at 2:46 AM, Sigward Funke <[email protected]> wrote: > Dear list, > > after installing GMT 4.5.11 on ubuntu 12.04 the compilation finishes > without error message, but the answer on command "psxy" is: > > psxy: symbol lookup error: psxy: undefined symbol: GMT_version > > Where could be the error? > Many thanks > > Sigward > -- > Sigward Funke Institut fuer Geophysik und Geologie > Tel. 0341 97-32816 Universitaet Leipzig > Fax. 0341 97-32809 Talstr. 35, 04103 Leipzig > E-mail: [email protected] Raum 2-15 > > To unsubscribe, send the message "signoff gmt-help" to [email protected] To unsubscribe, send the message "signoff gmt-help" to [email protected]
