The +n0c/20p was supposed to lift the label up from the corresponding line. I changed it to +n0c/2c to keep the units consistent. No help. Might there be a conflict with the +v (follow path) option? Removing +v leads to an offset, however the offset is not "considered in the coordinate system defined by the orientation of the line" (quote from man psxy > +ndx[/dy]). It applies the offset always oriented on the page, not by the line. Maybe I'm interpreting the man page wrong, but I expect the label offset orienting itself on the line and the direction of the line. Currently I'm using -Sqd5c:+Lh+n0c/20p+v but the +n option seems to have no effect. The labels remain centered on the line. You would have to try +j settings and _n settings to move that label off the line though. If you are picky as to where the label appears then you may have to write a custom script. >>> -p >>> >>> >>> On Mar 27, 2014, at 7:04 AM, Kristof Koch <[email protected]> wrote: >>> >>>> Dear list, >>>> >>>> I'm plotting a file (converted with kml2gmt) full of polygons.
