awk and gawk

Greetings I need to use awk, and gawk utility to extract data from file and mapping it,the response of command , is* (gawk not recognized internal or external command, operable program or batch file)*, however iam installed the gawk 3.1.6.1 in C:\programs\gmt5\bin path.
