We have unfortunately delay with 7.8.3 [1]. I don't see any blocker to start with RC1 ASAP. If no blocker issues appears in two weeks [2] I would suggest to skip RC2 and release 7.8.3 directly after RC1. Martin PS: I used GRASS for teaching/training three times this year (Feb, Mar, Apr). In all cases I was forced to use GRASS 7.9dev since 7.8.2 contains critical bugs for me (eg. Open button in Python editor doesn't work). I hope to see releases more often if possible.
