Re: Interested in expanding Dasher for use with an IDE to program

So what would be needed for making Dasher geared up for use with an IDE like Eclipse?



Would it not in fact be possible to achieve a lot by just producing a new learning text, with a suitable vocabulary for the statistical "prediction" function, and a tailored selection array including now missing commands - i.e. no or few code changes necessary?



I suppose that's the place to start - in contact with Patrick Welche and others in the Dasher team - to identify what could possibly be needed in addition. 
A starting point could be the alphabet.englishC.xml and controllabels.xml, and then identifying additionally needed commands and key words.
Or has this already been investigated?

Sorry, but I think that you are wrong. Dasher is currently hosted at
gnome git repository:

You can also contribute with Dasher using gnome tools, for example,
there are a dasher component on gnome bugzilla:
