First make a diff:

diff vteaccess.cc.original vteaccess.cc 

Then post a bug report on https://bugzilla.gnome.org/ in the VTE product,
ideally with a step-by-step scenario to reproduce the issue, the
explanation you have provided in your mail, and the proposed diff.
