Back up a bit - please confirm my assumptions that you start by reading  
a message, then select "Forward" from either task bar or menu.  The  
forward window comes up, displaying the original as an attachment, your  
email is in the "From:" box, and after you enter an email address in  
the "To:" box, the "Send" button remains inactive?  Is it any different  
if you use "Forward Inline?"

Have you tried setting G_MESSAGES_DEBUG to see if there are any errors  
or warnings put to console?
