Thanks for testing! Most of those warnings are either bogus ("How does the code…") or harmless ("cannot initialize GSS security context"). The only one that is a concern is "GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion 'G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed", because that usually means a bug. If you run balsa as:

G_DEBUG=fatal-warnings gdb balsa

that warning will be turned into a fatal error, and control will be returned to gdb. You could then use 'bt full' to get the stack trace.
