Ouch! Yes, deactivating threading leaves the mailbox bizarrely unsorted.

Failing to add a new message to the correct thread has been around for a while. Complete rethreading is time-consuming, so we need to economize on it, but failing to place a new message correctly is worse.

So we need to be less stingy in scheduling sorting and threading…

Yes, toggling threading off and on again seems to fix it, but we shouldn't need to!
