Question about application mode

Hello, I am trying to create an application mode shortcut for a website ( https://tweetdeck.twitter.com). The problem I'm having is that upon lanching the application I am presented with the login screen for TweetDeck and when clicking the "login" button the link is opened in my default browser which is Firefox.
