no it is a standalone plugin 

what I meant is that Hans explained on the Abit forum that there are a new implementation of the 'uGuru' chip and that is likely to be the reason why the plugin no longer works.

I look with longing eyes to the new Abit MB's that support the new IntelCPU's and as soon (but not very soon) as I buy one of those I will update the plugin

However I think that seeing that gkrellm supports the lm-sensors readings in the long term a better solution is to use uGuru that way.

I have Hans' code installed (which I hadn't done yet when you responded) and get see the readings from the M/B in the files he creates in the "/sys" filesystem. Unfortunately sensors can't yet read that data. Are you implying that your plug-in is dependent on lm_senors?

    yes that code is now very old

    For newer versions have a look at the code by Hans ten Goede for lm-sensors
    see the thread here

    I have not updated the plugin myself as I still use the same AG8 MB
    unfortunately

    Somewhere in that same forum there are also instructions via group 
    permissions to enable the plugin to rin as non-root
