api to query gkrellmd

Hi,

i wanna know if there exist some kind of protocol to allows me query for
server status from java, or what kind of response is back from a gkrellm
client? specific gkrellm data structures?

If you think is difficult to access that kind of information for a client
java, any suggestions related to another monitor tool?
