Never mind, stopping and restarting gkrellm itself did find them.  Neat!

For config info on hddtemp, see man 8 hddtemp.  I added the drives 
to /etc/sysconfig/hddtemp as space separated extras in the options line.

When I restarted gkrellm, I got this a few seconds later:
[root@coyote tmpntfs]# gkrellm &
[1] 7802
[root@coyote tmpntfs]# parse_DeltaUPS: buffer is not a valid DeltaUPS 
string?! Can't Happen!

Its a belkin UPS, a biggie. 1500WA.  Am I miss-configured?
