Cool, I think it's worth a try and I've got a tarball ready!  If you happen to have
all the development packages you need installed, then it should be as simple
as (be in some directory you want to work in):

   $ wget http://members.dslextreme.com/users/billw/test/gkrellm.tar.gz
   $ tar -xvzf gkrellm.tar.gz
   $ cd gkrellm
   $ make

If there are no errors, quit your currently running gkrellm and test run the new one:
   $ src/gkrellm
and check the Sensors->Temperature config for a GPU:0 and GPU:1
If it all works, I would just copy the new src/gkrellm binary over your existing
/usr/bin/gkrellm so you won't need to worry about parallel installing this along
with your existing package.  Later upgrades to gkrellm versions > 2.2.10 should
go fine.

But if you get any errors in the "make" step it will probably (I hope) just be
because you need some development package installed.  If you want to continue,
let me know the error and we can figure out what needs to be done.
