I manually reverted these changes in the win32-build after finding that out myself. On windows gkrellm freezes when showing a messagebox from within threads. The 2.3.3 release is already merged into my svn at https://svn.srcbox.net/projects/gkrellm/trunk/. I still have some TODOs on my list for the windows release, mostly related to packaging Gtk+ on Windows and working around new bugs in my MSYS environment.
