chart label alternate font

Perhaps my memory is faulty, but I recall the "\f"
alternate font code used to change the color of the
next string.  In my current version it switches to
a smaller size font, but the same color.

I very much like the smaller font, just changed all
my strings to the alternate font.  But the alternate
color was useful also to flag which chart color was
read (receive) and which was write (transmit).
