Gkrellm and KDE-plasma

I've recently upgraded KDE on this box to Gentoo's latest (everything in 
slot 5), and since then app-admin/gkrellm -2.3.10 has been covered in a 
nasty red wash: the pale greys are shown in a sort of salmon-pink and the 
dark greys are almost the same colour as the red graph traces. It's 
unaffected by whether I have any themes installed or just the default theme.

Is this a new problem? I haven't seen anyone else reporting it on the 
gentoo-users list.
