the last line. I can find no way when compiling from source to do the
usual --debug when compiling. I think I've Googled every way I can to
try and find 'xmms2 debug' and it doesn't seem to exist even though the
Ubuntu docs for xmms2d say it does. Maybe this is all I'll get when
running xmms2d -v

So, in the continuing saga of getting Xmms2 to work with streaming a
URL I'm no closer that I was seems. But, I am persistent and have
already spent over a week on this. Good thing I'm retired and don't
have much else to do :)
