Thanks for sharing this, Thomas. I have 4.14 on Windows 10, and loaded this CSS out of curiosity. As a matter of interest, not a trouble report, I'm sharing what I found. Some things worked and some didn't, but this may be due to differences in the code of 5.x versus 4.14. Buttons and account tabs did work, though the text was yellow not white, and so did the tabs in the preferences window; see Screenshot1 and Screenshot2. The alternating rows in registers did not work for me, even after I changed the preference and closed and reopened GC. The accounts tree was not dark as described in the file; see Screenshot3, BTW, Under %LOCALAPPDATA% a/k/a ...\AppData\Local there is no GnuCash folder. (I could be wrong, but I don't think GC 5.x changed the location from 4.x.) The Windows locations you gave should be %APPDATA%\GnuCash\gtk-3.0.css (i.e. ...\AppData\Roaming\GnuCash) Stan Brown Tehachapi, CA, USA https://BrownMath.com On 2026-07-06 18:51, Thomas Philips wrote: > I created this gtk-3.0.css file using Claude to improve GnuCash's 5.16's visual appearance.
