Dr Tim,
The only way I know to enter a SX early is to set it as a reminder x days in advance. Then once that date has arrived or is past you can use Actions/Scheduled Transaction/Since Last Run or if you have them set up in Preferences/Scheduled Transactions/Run when data file opened it will show in the list and you can edit it from a reminder to "To Create" and it will create it. The only other way is to edit the scheduled transaction to today's date and do the same thing. However, this will change all future Sxs. Many people have asked to be able to launch a scheduled transaction early, but the programmers haven't made it a priority. I think it was 1st suggested over 6 years ago.

Thank You,

Gyle McCollam

Subject: [GNC] Entering Scheduled Transaction Early into account register.

I have tried in vain to make this work in GnuCash. I have the updated stable
version (v5 I think) on my MS Surface PC. Can you give me the detailed
instructions how to enter a scheduled transaction early? I have searched
this question on Google and the instructions don't work.

Thanks guys.
