Hi Neil, The Business Functions were originally designed to handle a single-person consulting company. It was designed to be generic, but other types of businesses require different kinds of reports, and those reports were not written. Another thing to keep in mind is that the business functions are all based on accrual accounting. The accounts are manipulated when the Invoice is posted, not when the payment comes in. This may be an issue for certain types of businesses. Having said that, if you split the invoice into the appropriate accounts, and if you POST the invoice without rolling up the transaction, you should be able to write a report that gets the information you need. The data you need will be in the system but the report does not exist to extract it for you. As GnuCash is a volunteer-based system, and in my recollection you are the first debt collection company asking to use it, you are blazing a new (report) trail. You are welcome to work with the devs to create a specific report you need, or submit it yourself. I suspect you will not find another open-source or free application that has the exact report you need -- but you are of course welcome to explore! Please let us know what you find!! Thanks, and have a great day! -derek On Tue, July 28, 2026 11:46 am, Neil Aggarwal wrote: >> customers.
