Now that you've found what is arguably gnc's most powerful and flexible
report I suggest your time will be well rewarded if you familiarise
yourself with it a bit more.

Use the ‘Accounts’ tabs from the option to select accounts in question – credit card and ‘Doctors and Dentists’ and then use the ‘General’ tab to set the start and end dates -- 07/22/2026 & 08/24/2026 -- to limit what is displayed.

Then I clicked on the related link and it showed me the expenses in the account, but from the beginning of time (at least from when I started using Gnucash in 2015).

If it doesn’t show then most likely those transactions have incorrect contra leg. In that case review of each every transactions will be needed to hunt it down. Alternate I can think of is to generate an Income and expense report with those accounts and dates to see if they are there.
