how to shade alternate rows?

Hi again everyone, I've run into another issue which doesn't seem to be covered in the manual. I need to shade odd-numbered rows a light gray for easier viewing. I assume this should be done with format-cells-conditional formatting-background? That's as far as I've gotten.
