Got you. But, I shoud say sorry that I wanna keep this project separate. The reason does no matter with my attitude to the free software, Linux, windows or something else. I just don't wanna mess the origin code. As you known, if the C code has the ability of cross-platform, it must have many many macro like #ifdef win32. Very ugly. In fact, the porting code is not elegent as orgin. Fortunately, Mingw and GTK+ for windows increase the ability of cross-platform, somehow still not enough. That's why this project does exist. 
As my comprehension, *nix coder can focus on their development and needn't to care about the porting. Let's pervert porting guys do the porting.
Except that, I feel very funny about the nick name of some windows porting like bastard child, step child. I like those storys. We all do it for fun, do we? ;-)

Ooops, what I meant was to encourage this work and express my hope things

The port is complementary, but the seperate websites are not as good as a
single website jointly promoting the latest version for both platforms.

Since you mention the GIMP it is part of why I believe it is important and
hope the two sites will be kept together, and the windows port treated as
fully official.  In the past the windows port of the GIMP was quite
seperate and it seemed like a neglected step-child, and there was a
certian amount of elitism.  It was the existence of Free Software/Open
Source for windows which got me interested in the first place and I'd hate
to see something like that that happen again so I want to encourage the
developers to all work together.
