This can be done with the print dialog, select 'proof sheet' under the 
layout tab.

To create a set of image files instead of printing to a printer, set the 
printer destination to 'image file' under the printer tab, then select a 
filename and file format. Multiple image files will be numbered 
'filename_001.jpg' and up, the _000 portion will automatically be added to 
the filename you enter.

When outputting to jpeg or png image files, it may be helpful to set the 
units to points as this will be the pixel size of the created images. To 
specify an exact image size select custom size so that you can enter the 
numbers in the size field.
