[ 739953 ] Delete folders https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=739953&group_id=4050&atid=354050 ... and several other requests ... I am always at great pains to remind developers that features need to discoverable and including things in the context menu should only be an optional extra, as it has both usability and accessibility issues. I prefer to delete to the Trash/Recycle Bin but then inevitably you will get people asking for a "Direct Delete" option so they can more efficiently shoot themselves in the foot. I can sort of understand the reluctance to add easy ways to delete folders. Having said that if I could do a little more file management in GQView I might never use Nautilus again. > I may well be able to contribute code towards both these features, if > it's agreed that they're desirable? Sincerely Alan Horkan * Folder is the recommended term in Gnome, for what it is worth and if I had admin access (hint, hint, nudge, nudge) I would probably make sure both terms directory and folder were included in the request summary in the hope of reducing duplicate requests. (John, feel free to give me admin rights in the request tracker. ;) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
