Try setting the default profile to some kind of wide-gamut RGB profile, 
like, say BetaRGB  ( 
http://www.brucelindbloom.com/index.html?BetaRGB.html ) and the monitor 
profile to sRGB.  If it's working correctly, colours should get 
over-saturated and loud. :D
