Feature request:[ 1589647 ] exif support for raw from 300d

I got a little involved in this one in the feature request page, but reached my limits. My language of choice is Java, and I tend to get a little lost in C / C++.

In essence, to add CIFF tag support to GQView involves a new parser, but dcraw provides that. I could copy and paste his code into GQView in order to extract the tags, but I have no understanding of how that information is stored in GQView. If someone could explain (simply) how to assign the data to the various tags, I could probably rip the necessary information out of the dcraw program and thus add EXIF support for .crw files. It'd be dirty, but it should work.

At the minute, the lack of auto-rotate support for my camera is the only thing I've found to dislike about GQView. Don't make me find another program... please...
