Hello. I still have an old version of gqview but here are my
suggestions if the latest version does not have them.

1. "fit to width" mode. Left and right edges of the image
are fitted to left and right edges of the image viewer.
(But no zoom-out is done if the image is small.)

2. "next image starts at bottom". When next image is shown, the
image viewer is positioned to the bottom of the image.
(Currently images have the start at the top.)

3. "<space> moves the view down by one viewful". There should be
a slight overlap between the views. See xpdf-1.0 how it works
(but unfortunately xpdf does not have the required overlap).

4. "Scrapbook". The scrapbook feature could work like this:
User can make a rectangular selection. Upon button press the
image data (at scale 1:1) is saved to a file. Filenames would
be numbered, e.g., 00001.png. User should be able to set the
start number.

I'm reading textual images. They are read just like one would read
books and papers. Suggestions 1 and 3 helps there. Suggestion 2
is convenient if I just want to check through the page numbers
located at the bottom of the pages.
