Feature request: Edit and Show EXIF comments

I'm looking for viewer that is able to show user comments stored in EXIF
(e.g. in ImageDescription field) during fullscreen presentation and
eventually also edit them. In this mailling list I've found a request
that corresponds to my idea (dated to 2004-12-12 16:02) but with no answer:

> 1. Possibility of editing/adding comments in jpeg files (in exif header)
> 2. Possibility of seeing the comment at bottom of screen even during full screen slide show.

> This way, gqview can be used by users to present their holiday snaps.
