Exif Date

I used libexif's exif command tool to modify an exif date of the file.
 The file was modified and when I view the data using libexif, it
showed the newly updated exif data.  However, gqview still shows the
old data.  I tried cleaning our and delete all thumbnail cache, even
restarting gqview, but no luck.

Is the exif data cached automatically somewhere?
