I would love such a script.

Better still I would love a script that would list the comments of all
the image (either given or as a directory), and let you edit them all
in one go.

That would work a lot better for both viewing and for updating large
numbers of images, than doing things bit by bit.



One question though, a bit off-topic.   There has always been the
problem of whether a multi-line comment should end with a return or
newline character.

Single line comments rarely have a final newline, but multi-line comment
have newlines as line separators. So should they also end in a newline?
