Re: 4.8.23: pulldown menu items can't be accessed with <enter> key

I recompiled 4.8.22 - there the enter key in the pulldown menues works
as expected.

With support for background operations
With mouse support on xterm
With multiple codepages support

The configure switches for both:

--prefix=/usr
--disable-nls
--disable-doxygen-doc
--disable-doxygen-dot
--with-gnu-ld
--without-x

Any proposals what I could post/do to further investigate this?
