sql backend status?

Hi, I see from bugzilla, that the sql backedn is marked as "resolved". what is the status of the sql support in the gnome2 version of mrproject? What I would like is to be able to manipulate mrproject data from other database tools, and reference/integrate it with other non-project related database tables (thus at some point the mrproject data should be in the database).
