It seems that MrProject requires Gnome2.2 (or at least the printing parts thereof as I see from the changelog) . The problem is that libgnomeprint2.2 depends on fontconfig, which is not a dependency of Gnome2, yet is provided in Redhat, but not in Mandrake 9.0 (it is in 9.1). I am not confident of being able to rebuild all the packages required for fontconfig (since it messes with freetype). Messing with fontconfig/freetype can break the menu fonts in OpenOffice.org (unless you compile OpenOffice.org with fontconfig support, but compiling OpenOffice.org is a large project, suitable for trashing a whole weekend). So, unless I can find a way to build libgnomeprint2.2 without fontconfig, I do not think I will manage MrProject0.9 for Mandrake 9.0 ... It might be best to try the upcoming Mandrake 9.1rc1 which will include MrProject 0.9 anyway.
