CAN'T REOPEN FILE CREATED WITH v 0.9.1 ON REDHAT 8.0

I completed an installation of 0.9.1 last night with no apparent errors 
from any of the packages.  Yet after creating a small test file and then 
trying to reopen the file I receive the following message:

Couldn't find a suitable file module for loading 'myfile.mrproject'

I was able to correct another error which kept me from opening the help 
documents by changing permissions on the help files.  I tried changing 
permissions on myfile.mrproject but that didn't seem to make any difference.

Advice about where to look further or to fix greatly appreciated.
