A problem here is that the GNOME CVS is sometimes (during US working
hours) very slow. If this makes it harder for Mikael to do his job
properly I think it's a bad idea.

If the debian/ directory is only updated at releases I think it would be
perfectly OK if mikael just sent us a patch which we apply, so that it
can be used by others.
